Bye bye fire selector blues!!!

Almost all the ACM variants I've tinkered with developed fire selector lever mushiness over time. This is mainly due to the soft zinc alloy metal used for the central cog that links the fire selector lever to the fire selection mechanism attached to the trigger switch block.
What shall we do about this annoying thing? One way is, of course, to have a machine shop fabricate that central cog for us. On our own, we can permanently attach that cog to the fire selector lever. Let's try it, shall we? First we shall glue the cog to the fire selector lever and then glue the lock washer on top of the cog so that the screw will always press down into the washer to make sure the selector lever is always pressed down into the indent on the central cog.  The we apply steel filled epoxy over the glued pieces.  If you intend to still use the plastic screw cover, you can remove some epoxy later to provide for cover latching. The we sand the epoxy smooth.  And paint it to match the receiver.  That was simple, wasn't it?  Bye bye, selector lever mushiness  Thanks to Docv400 of Arnies for the original idea
